促进积极有效参与,成就有效英语课堂


        T: Now we know Australians like swimming and surfing. Do you know why? You can find the answer in the passage?
        S4: Because there is long coast in Australia.
        T: That’s true. Thanks for your answer. 
        Let’s know more about the topography of Australia and the animals. I’ll show you a special map of Australia. Discuss in pairs and give me a report, OK? You can refer to the passage.
        (学生反应热烈,时而积极讨论,时而默默看书,教师选择几组同学展示讨论成果)
        Group 1: In the east of Australia is the coast, near the coast is the countryside; in the countryside there are many sheep. With the white sheep, the green grassland looks more beautiful.
        Group 2: In the west of Australia is the outback, in the outback is the desert, Camels live in the desert. They can walk for a long time without drinking, so they are very useful.
        Group 3: Uluru—Ayres Rock is in the middle of Australia. It is 3.6 kilometers long and 348 meters high. The color of the rock is fantastic, because they change from purple to red at different times of the day.
        对于澳大利亚的地理特征,教师用一副直观的地图呈现了东边的海岸线:牛羊成群的乡村,充满沙石的内陆沙漠,变化莫测的乌奴奴,避免了枯燥乏味的讲解,为学生们的参与提供了条件。同学们通过两人自主合作,观察地图,阅读课文,自主得出结论,做到了积极参与和有效参与。
        Step three: Consolidation
        T: Now you have travelled around Australia with me, what do you know about Australia?
        S5: I know some places of interest in Australia, such as Uluru and Sydney Opera House. They are fantastic.
        S6: I know some food Australians like, such as grapes, wine lamb and hams.
        S7: I know the animals in Australia—koalas, camels, sheep, kangaroos and so on. Among them, I like koalas best as they are so lovely.         S8: I know the topography of Australia. I think both the grassland and the desert attract me though they are so totally different.
        T: Wonderful. Being your guide is my pleasure. You get to know such many things about Australia in such short time. Congratulations to you all!
        T: As you know a lot about Australia, let’s do some exercise about Australia.

        教师以一个简单的问题作引导,使学生积极参与概括自己在各个方面对澳大利亚的了解程度,复习所学内容。并以几个题型为载体,使学生参与到继续加深对澳大利亚的了解过程当中。
        Step four: Application
        T: Suppose you’re basketball star or pop star, you just came back from Australia. Many reporters ask you questions about Australia. Who want to be YaoMing        or S.H.E?
        (学生扮演的“姚明”、“Selina”, “Hebe”, “Ella”依次上台,他们端坐在台前,颇有一副明星的架子。)
        S9: Hello, Yaoming. I’m a basketball fan. I like you very much. I want to know if the weather in Australia is different from China.
        S10 (Yaoming): When it’s winter in China, it’s summer in Australia.
        S9: Why?
        S10: Because they are in different parts of the Earth.
        S11: Hello, Hebe. Which food in Australia do you like best?
        S12: I like grapes best because it’s good for my health. They are not only delicious and juicy but also can make me more beautiful.
        S12: Where have you been in Australia? Which do you think is the most attractive?
        S13: I have been to Sydney Opera House, the desert and the countryside. Of course, Uluru attracts me most. It is so huge. The most special is that the color changes at different times of the day. If you have the chance, you must visit it.
        (台下的同学忙着问,台上的同学忙着回答,气氛非常热烈,此时的他们似乎忘了老师的存在,忘记了这是一个课堂,有的只是想迫切了解澳大利亚的和忙于介绍澳大利亚的两组人。)
        教师成功地扮演了“组织者”的角色,学生不仅积极参与了活动,复习了课堂知识,也把这些知识灵活运用,而且创造力、反应能力得到了极好的锻炼,真正做到了有效参与。
